Tirrenia Golf Club can boast the fact that it is one of the most antique and stunning golf courses in all of Tuscany. The course, designed by the English architect Ken Cotton was majestically carved 40 years ago into a wonderful green secular pinewood and into a blooming Mediterranean maquis, is located today within the Natural Park of San Rossore. Being voted a few years ago the best 9 hole course in Italy by "Golf Digest" magazine, it offers golf players an harmonious and stimulating route…a garden in which relaxation and sport have found their home.
Hole after hole, never as on the Tirrenia Golf course, it rewards the ability to maneuver the ball both from the tees, due to the narrow gaps between trees, and in the putts on the greens, which, if missed, force the unskilled player an impossible approaching shot from the wood.
The course record, established by the pro Joe Messana is 69 shots, just 3 shots under par.
The mild climate of Tirrenia and the peculiar characteristics of the course, sheltered by the cold wind during the winter and pleasantly cool and ventilated during the summer, create the ideal condition for the golf course to be open all year round. The sober Club House offers all the comforts and services needed: bar, restaurant, changing rooms, etc. The environment is friendly and familiar, in order to encourage interaction among members and a particular care is always reserved for guests that can find here a warm welcome.
Since 2005 the Golf Club property IES BERTI, is owned by the surveyor Geom. Romolo Berti.
